Als erstes buche ich morgens ein Standplatz. Schon mal in Fährnähe. Und dann starten Marcello und ich in den Tag. Er führt ein Videotagebuch und erklärt natürlich alles auf italienisch. Ich sage ihm, ich verstehe kein Wort, aber ich könnte ihm den ganzen Tag zuhören. Unsere erste Station ist die Hängebrücke Carrick-a-Rede, die 25 Meter über dem Meer hängt.

Ich sage ihm, dass ich Höhenangst habe, aber gerne am Eingang auf ihn warte. Und was macht er??? Kauft zwei Tickets!

Glaubt es oder nicht, ich bin da tatsächlich drüber gegangen. Zwei Mal.

Und Achtung: Zu viel Adrenalin verursacht dämliches Grinsen.

Wir fahren weiter zum Giants Causeway und sind enttäuscht. Es ist echt klein und dafür rappelvoll.

Wir bleiben nicht lange und fahren weiter zu den Dark Hedges. Wer nicht Game of Thrones kennt, das ist eine Straße, die in dem Film vorkommt.

Ganz ohne Menschen geht das Foto leider nicht.

Ich bringe Marcello zurück in die Zivilisation und wir verabschieden uns. Ich fahre weiter nach Antrim, nehme erstmal eine heiße Dusche und muss nochmal auf meine Urkunde gucken, um sicher zu sein, dass ich das alles nicht geträumt habe.

Was für ein Tag! Meiner Schwester müssen heute den ganzen Tag die Ohren geklingelt haben. Wir und die Italiener…

Adrenaline in Italian

The first thing I do in the morning is booking a pitch. Already near the ferry. And then Marcello and me start into the day. He does an video diary and explains everything in Italian of course. I tell him, that I don’t understand anything, but I could listen the whole day. Our first station is Carrick-a-Rede, a 25 Meter above the ground ropebridge. I tell him, I am afraid of heights, but I’ll wait at the entrance for him. And what does he do??? Buys two tickets!

Believe it or not, I really crossed that bridge. Two times.

And be careful: Too much adrenaline causes silly smiling.

We go further to the Giant’s Causeway and are disappointed. It’s really small and packed instead. We don’t stay long and drive to the Dark Hedges. Who doesn’t know Game of Thrones, it is a road, which is shown in the movie.

Unfortunately there can’t be a picture taken without people.

I bring Marcello back to civilisation and we say good bye. I go to Antrim, take a hot shower and have to look at my certificate again to make sure it wasn’t just a dream. What a day! I thought a million times at my sister today. We and the Italians…
