Als ich morgens aus dem Bad komme, sehe ich wahnsinnig viele Blumen auf dem Fernsehbildschirm. Ich frage „Ist etwas passiert?“ Meine Gastgeberin stellt den Ton an. In Nottingham wurden vor zwei Tagen drei Menschen erstochen. Zwei davon waren erst 19. Es wird eine Art Trauerfeier übertragen, in der die Eltern und Geschwister sprechen. Es zerreißt mir das Herz und ich bewundere die Kraft dieser Menschen. Ich konnte das auf der Beerdigung meines Vaters nicht mal vor 50, sie können das vor Fernsehkameras.

Ja, ich sage immer, jeden Morgen geht einer aus dem Haus, der Abends nicht wieder kommt. In Wirklichkeit sind es viel mehr. Und es fragt auch niemand danach, ob du dein ganzes Leben noch vor dir hast. An alle die, die gerne sagen „Mach ich auch irgendwann nochmal…“ Du hast keinen Einfluss darauf, ob du morgen überhaupt noch dabei bist. Die Menschen, die jeden Tag sterben, wollten bestimmt auch noch ganz viel.
