die besang einst Herr Gabriel und dem geneigten Leser entgeht natürlich nicht die unterschiedliche Schreibweise. Ich bin in Salisbury (was man hier wie Solsbury ausspricht und nicht wie den Schlussverkauf), um mir die Kathedrale anzusehen und hätte ich mal auf Axel gehört… Es hat sich nicht gelohnt. Also die Kathedrale ist schon beeindruckend, aber die Stadt, der Campingplatz und das drumrum… -auf Casting-deutsch: Das Gesamtpaket hat nicht gestimmt. Da es ein Wochenende war, musste ich zwei Nächte buchen. Heute mache ich nicht mehr als die Kathedrale:

Kleine Anmerkung, für die, die sich wundern: Mein Beifahrersitz ist drehbar, also ab jetzt sozusagen „Filmsessel“.

Leider hab ich kein Foto vom Campingplatz gemacht. Schöne Hanglage sag ich nur. Also Weinanbau könnte ich empfehlen.

Und die Hills, die Peter Gabriel besingt, die kommen noch, wenn ich nach Bath fahre.

Solsbury Hills

Mr Gabriel once sang about Solsbury hills and the gentle reader realizes the differenz spelling. I am in Salisbury now (what is pronounced here as the Solsbury from the song and not as sale in shops) to visit the cathedral. I should have listened to Axel… It wasn’t worth it. I mean the cathedral is impressive, but the town, the campsite and the things around – as they say in casting shows: „The overall package wasn’t good.“. And because it was a weekend I had to book two nights. Today I don’t do more than going to the cathedral.

In the evening I open tmy home cinema solemnly. Here it is:

Just for those who are wondering: My passenger seat is rotatable. So to say my telly chair.

Unfortunaly I didn’t take a picture from the campsite. Nice slope! I would recommend to grow wine.
